Employee Assistance Program

The Aggie Health & Wellness Center is home to the Employee Assistance Program (EAP).  EAP is a confidential counseling and referral service available to all NMSU faculty and staff.

We provide short-term confidential counseling for faculty and staff experiencing any type of personal and work issues that may affect their job performance.  This may include:

  • Grief and loss
  • Issues with alcohol or drug use or abuse
  • Personal or family relationships
  • Retirement readiness
  • Supervisor or co-worker issues
There is no cost for counseling.

We provide consultation for department heads and supervisors concerning the identification and intervention of faculty and staff experiencing personal or work-related issues affecting job performance. EAP professional staff are available for educational  seminars pertaining to general well-being, leadership, and work related issues.

The Perozynski Employee Emergency Fund is administered through the NMSU EAP and a Faculty/Staff review committee. This is funded through private donations and held by the New Mexico State University Foundation, Inc. in the Perozynski Employee Emergency Assistance Endowed Fund.
