NMSU currently does not have a full-time EAP Counselor. For employees with immediate crisis needs please come to the Aggie Health & Wellness Center M-F 8:00-11:30 am or 1:00-5:00 pm. The state of New Mexico Risk Management Division offers a service to all employees. The Solutions Group (a division of the Presbyterian Healthcare Services) provides Employee Assistance Program (EAP) services to eligible employees and their family members. The Aggie Health & Wellness Center is home to the Employee Assistance Program (EAP). EAP is a confidential counseling and referral service available to all NMSU faculty and staff.
We provide short term confidential counseling for faculty and staff experiencing any type of personal and work issues that may affect their job performance. This may include:
- Grief and loss
- Issues with alcohol or drug use or abuse
- Personal or family relationships
- Retirement readiness
- Supervisor or co-worker issues
A faculty and staff’s spouse or significant other are also eligible for services. There is no cost for counseling.
We provide consultation for department heads and supervisors concerning identification and intervention of faculty and staff experiencing personal or work related issues affecting job performance. EAP professional staff are available for educational seminars pertaining to general well-being, leadership, and work related issues.
