Aggie Health and Wellness Social Services provide assistance for students who are having difficulties, who need additional support and resources, or who need help learning how to navigate the university and Las Cruces community systems and advocate for themselves. NMSU students attending the main campus are eligible for services which are free and anonymous. The Social Services office is located in Center or by calling 575-646-1512 for an appointment.
The Aggie Cupboard is an anonymous food pantry providing services to NMSU community in need of emergency food assistance. The Aggie Cupboard is operated through the generosity of the NMSU and Las Cruces community donations. For more information call the Cupboard at 575-646-7636.

Wellness, Alcohol and Violence Education Program (WAVE)
The Wellness, Alcohol and Violence Education Program (WAVE) is a harm reduction program which educates the campus community on issues of personal safety, health, and well-being.
WAVE’s health education professionals and peer educators provide students with information and strategies regarding a wide variety of topics including:
- Alcohol and substance use and abuse
- Healthy lifestyles
- Mental health
- Prevention of sexual assault and other forms of interpersonal violence
- Stress management
- Team building and ropes course
Employing a dynamic and comprehensive plan, we create bridges between campus entities to cultivate safe environments for the NMSU community.
WAVE provides services and supports to students regardless of sex, race, ethnicity, sexual orientation, age, disability, religion or national origin.
